The Bubbler

The Bubbler

Sat 17th May

DOORS - 19:30

Based on Satan's fall from grace in Paradise Lost, this Manchester Theatre Awardnominated, critically acclaimed new play was written in response to the vitriol aimed at young working-class men during the summer riots of 2011. In a world where art is seen as frivolous and greed is encouraged, happiness and unhappiness collide - and bar-staff bear the brunt.

With a performance from Neil Bell that will leave you catching your breath, embittered Cash Generator boss Peter, embarks on an opinionated battle of wills with easy-going bartender, Paul. They slug it out over the morals and motives of absent regular, Tony Rabonni, who, much to Peter's disgust, appears to be an all-round great guy.

WARNING: Contains vulgar language and fanciful ideas!

This performance is part of the first Northern pub tour of The Bubbler to showcase new theatre in pub spaces and we would really like to invite you to see a performance.

The tour is a pilot for new theatre work touring to pubs and we intend to develop a wider network of pubs that might be interested in staging The Bubbler alongside more new work specially written for them and their communities and we'd love to know what you think.
