The Memorial - In aid of The Alzheimer's Society - Research. Last year, the event was inspired by Bert Jones, a local resident and police officer in the Holme Valley. When he was in his last stages of the disease, the family wanted to make a positive contribution to what was a difficult hurdle. Unfortunately, Bert passed away on 4th December 2009 at the age of 78 so the family have dedicated the event this year to be in his memory and hopefully increase the amount of funds rasied than last year. All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Research in London. On the night there will be: Live music from Rockabilly/ Blues Band: Disco and Auction of fantastic 'lots'! |

Steve Knightley and Phil Beer are widely acknowledged as the finest acoustic roots duo in England. Knightley, who writes most of their inspired material and Beer, a dazzling multi instrumentalist, have built up a huge following which has seen them sell out the Albert Hall three times and headline at major festivals from Glastonbury to WOMAD. Voted Best Live Act in the 2004 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, the jury is still out on just what kind of music they play. A genre defying mix of rock, roots, blues, country, trad, and often influenced by the music of other countries, it is played out on an array of instruments from slide guitar to fiddle, mandolin to South American cuatro. |

Supported by THE HAMSTERS! The guitar, bass and drums trio The Hamsters have long been established as one of our premier Blues-Rock attractions, having performed well over 4,000 concerts in 24 years. Although a band in their own right - playing rootsy Rock, Blues and Americana - they've also long widely been regarded as the UK's leading interpreters of the music of Jimi Hendrix. Tonight, on their Jimi Hendrix 40th Anniversary Memorial Tour, they'll be performing a show of his songs to commemorate his passing 40 years ago in September 1970. The band will 'support' themselves by playing a short opening set of their own brand of music, then return for a full Jimi show! "They're fabulous: one of Britain's very best live bands" "Nobody does the music of Jimi Hendrix better" |

Take That 2 are one of the best Take That tribute bands in the UK today! Not only are all four members from the same area as the boys themselves but 'Gary' from the act has a voice so close to Gary Barlow's that you'll find it very hard to tell the difference. The other major advantage is that Gary also plays live piano and guitar. Team that up with three other highly talented professional vocalists and you have a tribute show that simply cannot be rivalled anywhere. Take That 2 were even asked to perform at the O2 arena with the real Take That – praise indeed
